Best Things to Do in Miramar Beach Labor Day Weekend 2026
1. Perfect Hues: Baytowne Wharf Art Fest
This is the centerpiece of Labor Day weekend in Miramar Beach. The Village of Baytowne Wharf transforms into an evening art walk featuring work from local and regional artists throughout the pedestrian village.
Live music runs from 7–9 PM nightly. Jared Herzog performs Friday, Stormfolk takes the stage Saturday, and The Salty Strays perform Sunday before the holiday fireworks finale. Because the festival begins at 5 PM, it is easy to spend the morning at the Gulf, cool off at your hotel, then arrive at Baytowne for dinner and the festival.

Do not over-plan Saturday. One of the best Labor Day experiences is still the reason people come here in the first place: the Gulf.
Miramar Beach Regional Beach Access #49 at 2375 Scenic Gulf Drive offers parking, restrooms, an ADA-accessible boardwalk, beach-condition flags, beach wheelchairs and seasonal lifeguards. Arrive early on a holiday weekend because parking and prime beach space become considerably harder to find later in the morning. Always check the posted beach-condition flag before swimming.

3. Visit Topsail Hill Preserve Before the Crowds Build
If the main Miramar Beach shoreline feels busy, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park offers a completely different Labor Day morning. The preserve combines white quartz dunes, coastal habitats, freshwater dune lakes, trails and Gulf shoreline.
The park is open from 8 AM until sundown and admission is currently $6 per vehicle for two to eight people. Go early, walk a trail, photograph the dunes and enjoy a quieter coastal setting before heading back toward Miramar Beach for the evening events.

Sunday is the biggest night of the weekend. The Salty Strays perform from 7–9 PM at Baytowne Wharf, followed immediately by the 9 PM fireworks display over the lagoon.
For families, the simplest strategy is to arrive well before sunset, eat inside the Village and already be in place when the evening crowd builds. Do not plan on arriving five minutes before the fireworks and finding an easy parking space.

5. Take the SOLARIS Labor Day Dinner & Fireworks Cruise
Want to avoid standing in the biggest fireworks crowd? SunQuest Cruises is running its dedicated Labor Day Dinner & Fireworks Cruise aboard the 125-foot SOLARIS yacht on Sunday night.
The three-hour cruise departs Baytowne Marina and includes sunset views, a chef-prepared three-course dinner, live entertainment and a waterfront view of the Sandestin fireworks. Check-in begins at approximately 5:45 PM for the 6:30 PM departure. This is one of the strongest choices for couples or anyone celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special holiday weekend.

Monday, September 7 is the actual Labor Day holiday. If you are not rushing home early, use it as the lower-pressure final day of your trip. Have breakfast, enjoy one last Gulf swim, pick up souvenirs and stop at Silver Sands Premium Outlets before leaving Miramar Beach.
Silver Sands is scheduled to be open 10 AM–8 PM on Labor Day and several stores are running holiday promotions. Current advertised offers include Labor Day promotions from J.Crew Factory, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Spade, Under Armour and others. Individual offers and exclusions vary, so check the center's current listings rather than assuming every retailer has the same discount.
